Patch 3 Update
We wanted to let you all know that Patch 3 for Rise of Nations, which will make several updates to multiplayer connectivity in addition to balance tweaks, new features, and bug fixes, is currently in final testing at Microsoft. This is the last major hurdle in the production of the patch, and a green light from Microsoft's testers will mean that it is ready to be released. We still can't give a firm release date for the patch at this point, but right now we are several steps closer to that day.Good luck with testing!
With the release of Patch 3, we will also be going live with our multiplayer ratings website. It will contain a listing of the top rated players, as well as other multiplayer related information such as the most popular map types.
We thank all Rise of Nations players for their patience as we work towards shipping this major update to the game.

Units chart using XML Stylesheet
All of the statistics for units and buildings etc. in Rise of Nations is held in open standard files in your game directory. The only problem with this is that they are not meant to be read easily by people.Click here for full instructions @ Infidels. Thanks to Rohag for the heads up!
Fortunately, the nice techie people at Infidels have produced a formatting files that will turn the computer data file into a readable one.

Today kids vs. Classic Games
EGM: How long could you play this game before you got bored?
Sheldon: About 15 minutes.
Andrew: If you take it on the road and play it on your cell phone, then you might play it pretty long.
Nico: There's nothing else to do.
Andrew: Except look at nature.
EGM: Would you rather play this or play outside?
Nico: This game needs a super bomb or something.
Tim: This is nothing compared to Grand Theft Auto III, because you can't steal a taxi cab, pick up somebody, then drive into the ocean with him.
Kirk: And you can't pick up an AK-47 and go kill—hey, those aliens on the top row, you use them in EGM for stuff.
EGM: Yeah, we use them to end our articles. They do kinda look like they're from Space Invaders, don't they?
Tim: They're going to sue you.

Patch 3 Testing Over
A big huge thank-you once again to all of you who signed up to test the beta patch, and especially to those who submitted feedback to us. We received just over three hundred feedback submissions during this testing process, many with invaluable suggestions and information.
We are currently working toward a final version of patch 3 and so we are closing down sign-ups for the public patch test at this time. Those of you who already have the patch are welcome to continue using it, and our feedback form will remain active for you. We will keep you posted on the status of the patch as we move forward."

Members of the BHG team are doing quickmatch testing tomorrow night (Oct3) starting at 6pm EST (GMT -5) and would like to get as many people online on or around that time. If you're free, stop by the quickmatch lobby for some games with us.
