I've seen some gossip about using .TGA picture files to make the land and water on scenario editor. I have two questions-

1. Is this possible?
2. How can I do this?

Doesn't anyone know anything about this?

I've seen people in the downloads section talk about importing .TGA (targa) picture files to RoN to make a scenario map. I'd really like to know how to do this...

It's quite simple actually, just create a square image with black (0, 0, 0) representing the landmasses and white (255, 255, 255) representing water. Save it as a TGA then you can import it in the scenario editor.

Alright, thanks man. That's very helpful!

However, I keep getting "unable to import image" when I try to import it. Any idea why?

Strange. What program are you using to save the image, and what are the dimensions of the image?

I use Photoshop myself. It shouldn't matter, but I'm wondering if other programs save different kinds of headers that RON has trouble reading.

Ok I made a .tga file but when I import it. It only puts half of my map. Is there a certain size I have to make the image??

Try 1500x1500, that's what I used for my scenarios.
