Hi! I play Americans mainly. I rush Classical and Collosus at the start, then boom my economy. I usually have 4 fully developed cities bringing me up to 50 citizens. By the Industrial Age, I research Capitalism and run 4 Barracks and an Auto Plant all with Infinite Queue on, but I find this build to be too slow. Any ideas?
I know that Germans are good boomers and have sweet UUs. I want to give them a shot. How should I be playing them?

Didn't you know? Armies need an economy to support.
Let's say I trained a Marine Infantry unit, I spend 150 Food and 130 Timber. I get a +3 Food, +3 Timber and +3 Wealth income for this unit, giving me a +9 income every 30 seconds.
150+130=280 To earn 280 resource units with this +9 income I need to wait 15.5 minutes.

I'm not very leared on America's military, but I bet that if you trained a couple dozen marines, and entrenched them in front of your patriot and your capital city, you could gain defense and a good amount of resources really quickly.

I know, that's why I'm asking if 50 Citizens are too much.
Note: I prefer tanks and MGs, so I'm playing Germans now, with their powerful Modern Age units.

Well, fifty citizens probably is too much unless they're scholars. You want a large standing army.

I realised that I should be using foot soldiers as my cannon fodder and anti-AC units. I make impenetrable walls of steel - tanks.
Due to terrain, it is almost impossible to send troops in formation effectively, therefore troops will travel in one straight line and will essentially, get owned. I use a mechanised force because tanks can protect themselves from an ambush, or at least buy some time.

Yes I have, though I must say I haven't had any decent games before my computer refused to let me play online. I am on the quest on recovering my access to online gaming.
And I must also say that my tactics aren't really that good.

Ah, yes. Welcome to the club.
I like to use extravagant tactics that really wouldn't work if I was playing an opponent anywhere above easy mode, unless I made the fight embarrassingly onesided in scenario builder.
I'm bad at real tactics. :-/
