Ok... I was playing Russia on Germany, and as I suck to bad to beat a PC on tough, I lost badly. But the fight was long and many died....
Ahem...
"1st Line was lost. They began firing on 2nd Line. The city could not be held. The other city fell to nukes and a large army. They had bombarded this city until all buildings were gone, and no civie was seen. Ah, not surprising. 2nd Line gone. Without anti-tank support, we are done.
On 3rd line, 45 Shock Infantry fired endlessly into the wall of leopard tanks and infantries. The Leopard tanks were merely annoyed by the gunfire.
I used the Shock Infantry as a distraction. In my capital I flocked together as many soldiers as I could. I knew I would lose, but I would rather lose with honor then succeed by fraud. Soon all my infantry were dead, and yet more nukes bombarded my capital. Luckily, all my civies were in hiding, and while they assimlated the city I fought to defend, I trained more. My capital was all I had; no buildings, no soldiers, just civies and a burned down useless city. But I wanted to hold out one last time.
I trained civies until I had ALOT of them. Then, using the TO ARMS! button, they turned into partisans. It was a large force, and I was sure I could hold out with the help of Russian Attrition awesomeness. Their army came.
They took down half my partisan force before we somehow managed to defeat them. I was amazed at my partisan's performance.
But... yet another nuke slammed into my city, killing another quarter of my force. With only 15 civies left, they attacked and soon won..."
That was an actual game I played a week ago. I cannot believe my army of partisans fared better against german Leopard Tanks then Russian UNIQUE units. I figured it was a worthwhile story to tell.
