For those of you who played it or know anything about it, how come RoL didn't catch on? I heard it is a pretty good game, but yet it didn't sell at all like RoN? For anyone that played it and didn't like it, what was it that you didn't like?

I thought ron and rol were both good games, but i think the reason it didn't catch on was that there was a lot less to contemplate in the stategy. for example there are 6 resources in ron and only two in rol. in my opinion though i thought that only being able to chooses between three nations extremely limited the game. i think people would rather have a real world stratagy than a fantacy game

Not neccesarily true rob. The Warcraft series made by Blizzard have been very successful and are fantasy based RTS's. Take a look at the reviews of both games in Gamespot and IGN and it will probably give you an idea of why it didnt catch on. Maybe even download the demo so you can see for yourself.

If your interested in that, you can download the demo from microsoft at this address:

I'm not a big Warcraft fan only because the game gets very monotonous after awhile of doing the same thing over and over and over again. I will admit however that I was on a clan at one time and played a fair amount.

Hey King Lewie, I read your post, wasn't aware of this game but I checked out the website and this game looks really good. I just ordered it off Amazon, really eager to play it. Thanks for the tip.

I've only played RoL on my friend's computer. Its okay I think, but really not all the great. RoN is the same thing, just better.
