I want a new RON.The TP exspansion pack is good, but it can be better.New Ron should include these i think(also adding ones from former topics):

bridges-AOEII had bridges.only in scenario editor but it was useful when getting troops across a channel.it would be good.

new terrain element-marsh.like forests or rocks, this should be enabled.it allows your troops to go over the sea w/o transports.i wanna make a major river, but then i have to use the "river" option and that looks very bad.i put ocean, and then troops need transports.

New ages (prehistoric ages maybe, with men throwing rocks replacing slingers,clubs/axes replacing spears, and another ranged unit replacing archers, also)
new UUs(each nation should have 8 at least)
balanced nations(dutch are too weak, iroquois are too powerful)

bigger pop cap-its nice to see many units fighting while having another script/mod used.

after this section doesnt belong to me

"myself, i would like more campaigns maybe a ww1 or a ww2 specific campaign also i would like to see more campiagn specific scenarios like in the naapolion campaign with the battle of waterloo because the conquest scenario gets old well anyone got any ideas?"(not by me)

Uhm... maybe...

1.- Female soldiers (They appear on Info Age)
2.- Landmines
3.- Motorcycles!
4.- Satellite unit
5.- Medics
6.- More nations and more units ^0^

Personal opinion, they can't do much to improve on RON. Especially with how hackable it is, via XML.

A few things I wish they would add as options:

1. Map border wrap; can play on globes, I am sick of flat planets.

2. More than 8 players. At least for LAN. I have more than 8 friends.

3. Risk like CtW campaigns for multiplayer.

4. Larger maps; there is a workaround, sort of.

5. Persistent servers; sometimes it might be fun to be able to set up a map and just let it run. People can connect start a civ, die and join again. Sort of a King of the Hill type scenario for all day style of games. With a big enough map, or smaller borders this would allow people to join in later without immediatley getting crushed.

Again I am talking just options that could be toggled on and off. Options are always good, even if you don't use them. I play on LAN only, with a bunch of other friends. So sometimes we have a couple hours we can get together, sometimes many of us will have a whole weekend we can get together. So it would be nice to have the option of playing fast paced 30 min games, or if we have a whole day to ourselves the ability to just start a perpetual world for an all day game, where it doesn't really matter if you get a decent first start or not.

I can think of tons of stuff I'd like to see added into RON, some of them a little on the unrealistic side though.

-Firstly I think it would be great if you could have a CtW multiplayer, though it would definitely have to be fought over multiple days which means saving progress to host pc after each battle and then continuing at a later date.

-More TECH!!! Maybe it's just me but I love to be able to fine tune my arsenal's capabilities. So maybe like an extra slot after Builinds and Military Builinds such as 'Research Structures' or something where you could buy things like propoltion and ballistics labs etc.

-More CIVS!!! (And Australia has to be included:-)) I think most people wouldn't mind having more civs.

-Additional Units - I know this would mean the game size would go through the roof but it would be cool to be able to purchase more unit types, especially in later ages to add an extra dimension to the game. Such as BMP's for a general purpose lightweight amphibious tank, ZSU-58 radar guided anti-aircraft etc.

-Larger maps, like the ones of Empire Earth.

-Some re-balancing - I don't know what you guys think but I feel players can fly threw the ages far to fast, so much so that it is barely worth having the ages. In ten minutes with standard resources I can get from ancient age to Industrial.

-Realism - I'd like to see unit stats more realistic, especially concerning splash area which I believe is far too small with some of the weaponary such as the B-52 and MLRS units. Also more in the way of weaknessess of units and strengths, which was there, but probably not as much as I feel it should be. For example Anti-tank weaponary should be more effective against tanks than it is and less effective against infantry units. And infantry should do less against armoured vehicles. And ships and naval units, I hate the system for naval fights in this game, I actually think the one on Empire Earth is better. Ships just die too quickly or something. All I know is I much prefer naval battles on EE.

-Special Forces - I'm not sure what everyone else thinks but I for one would be happy to see SF able to actually shoot other than the sniper thing. It just seems stupid that they can't shoot back, even if they only had the same stats as a conventional warrior they really should have something.

-More Campaigns - I know many modders are making their own such as the WWII but I would think it would be good if it came included in RONII (Assuming there will be one)

-Commercial Structures - It would be good if thriving cities automatically spawned commercial buildings which symbolize the economic strength of the city - it could even effect the income rate of $.

-Player Profile
+Leadership- I know in TaP they added the government feature but I think this would prehaps be better included into the player profile section so a player can select if they are an autocratic ruler or whatever and choose their method of government such as socialism, communism, capitalism, nationalism (maybe).
One thing I didn't like, or was agnst in TaP with the govt section is that you can in real life have a democratic capitalistic government just as much as you can have an autocractic communist govt so why can you only research one?

+Statistics- It'd be cool if player stats were recorded such as victories, defeats, units killed, units lost, towns captured, nukes fired, points and RANK! Rank especially because it would be good to see in multiplayer battles how good another player is. Though this would have to be encrypted to stop modders like myself from changing them:-)

-Paradrop - this would add a whole new dimension of tactical fighting.

-Fix - Stupid pop-up thing that says things like your city is under attack or whatever, I find it is more of a nuissance than anything. Couldn't it make a chime sound and have the message box anywhere else but the dead centre of the screen?

And I'll leave it there before I wear my keyboard out :-p

Lets see massive maps so you would have to build canals and railways if you wanted to transport troops around quickly rather than build a barracks for every metre you travelled across.

Larger city radius and a cap on the number of military buildings per city. Some civs are just massive conurbations.

Torpedo boats for the Industrial age then subs in the Modern age.

More diverse graphic images of buildings in the late ages and a unique senate for each civ.

More and longer campaigns...

I hope the marketing division of big huge games are reading this!

I'll like that villagers can build houses, and big buildings, maybe other buildings to make your cities larger and add more creibility. I don't know, maybe more nations will be good.

better governemnts(if u have a good economy,u dont need socialism, and monarchy is useless in games after enlight.)
for example how can you be a republican monarchy?! and give the govts more bonusses and make so that it really depends on how you play what govt you would take because right now for instance Republic is taken 90% of time just because it's bonus is far better then dictatorship.

And a better economical system: Add some special improvements to the cities not only just build a mill and such.
Also make so you could have some salary system for your citizens and if increased you will lose wealth but the citizens will produce more ressources. And also somethigng that could be nice , if a special ressource is located in the city radious caravanes would give more wealth as they have some special ressource to trade (for example if the ressource 'copper' is into the city radious the caravan would give an additional +5 wealth gain)

Some good ideas. I especially like;

I really enjoy the combat side of RoN, but the realism of my cities is seriously lacking.
