Ok folks, ready to start a new mod.

The name is "1939-1945 Second Great War" and of course it's focused on World War 2.

It will be playable as normal mod and in the CTW version.

The CTW version will be installed overwriting RON core files this to can play of Army of One's (Legend017) WW II CTW campaign mod and use of the editor to create scenarios for the mod.

Wadis10, Scorch6294, Army_of_One, Coldwar Warrior,the Great Valdemar, Edilberto, MrYaR and Smarty (Martin R.) are already part of the team.
Anybody wanna join the project is wellcome.

The idea is to use years instead of ages:
- 1939 (ancient age)
- 1940 (classical age)
- 1941 (Medieval Age)
- 1942 (Gunpowder Age)
- 1943 (Enlightenment Age)
- 1944 (Industrial Age)
- 1945 (Modern Age)
- 194? (Informatio Age - an ipotetical year with the developement of secret weapons and units what have never seen combat times as war ended earlier)

And it's possible to have news maybe for the futur update ?
I have replay to this mods and i realy like the skin of the Panzer 4 Ausf f his very good i love play with him but not for the Ausf H version, is very ugly i prefer not update the tank.

I hope we can have for the next update many news skin and model that will be great. Thanks and good work

I have an idea, why not to use calibre of artillery and armor plating of armored to parametrize the power, the reach(impact) and the life.
-Tiger II Ausf. B:-original: standard(cannon) 88 mm, armor plating 180 mm
- games: attack 88, carried(worn) 88, life 180

-Panzer IV Ausf. H:-original: standard(cannon) 75 mm, Armor plating 80 mm
- Games: attack 75, Carried(Worn) 75, life 80

- T-34 / 85: - original: standard(cannon) 85 mm, Armor plating 75 mm
- Games: attack 85, Carried(Worn) 85, life 75

And as his(her,its) applied for all the units, the respect for the reality can be applied

In next release of the mod Missile Cruiser, Attack Submarine and Advanced Battleship are deleted due to a bug.
New units will be introduced, one is Naval Mine:

There will be also a bunch of new models coming from Civ 5 WWII Unit Packs by danrell, one is the PzKpfw IV ausf H:

Would Ratte and Landkruzer be included in German's Secret Weapon Arsenal as well?
Also, are you gonna include the calliope for the allied?

Hi aegisacer,
I'm keeping one free room for the Ratte, but till now I didn't find the way to animate the three turrets.
I'm thinking to include the Messerschmitt Me 262 "Schwalbe" and for the allied the T28/T95 GMC.

I'm sorry that the naval mine looks sick, maybe it's needing a little bit of "Maquillage" (read new skin)

I'd keep the Bf 109 Emil as german Fighter-bomber or I'd replace it with the Bf 110 C ??

I'm returning from a long absence from modding RoN and now have a break for a few months.

I've never seen such high quality and numerous models, how can we obtain them?

I also applaude the progress on this and other mods, especially the working propellors and new aircraft models.

I'm really happy to see my partner alive and kicking

I exported new models from Scorch6294 and the CIV5 Danrell's WW2 Units collection.
I'm missing models for the Japanese Type 92 or Model 92 Naval Armored Car, Panhard AMD 178, Marmon-Herrington Mk III or similar and Humber Mk IV or similar.
For Soviet Union I thought the armored car can be the BA-10 (of course I need the model for it) and we can have the BA-64 as it's upgrade, but then we’ll need a model as APC, an half-track or something like that.
Orientar suggested it can be the BTR-5K.

I'm trying to export naval models using RON animations, but I'm in deep waters stills..

I started a thread in Scenario Design about the 1939-1945 Second Great War mod script, but I had no reply till now (sigh!).

great models!! The models are from the GZM 7 mod for Blitzkrieg 1 by Nival. Before to download it (3,32 Gb + 6,94 Mb of patch),do you know if the models can be loaded by 3D Studio Max??

I'm trying to export naval models using RON animations, but I'm in deep waters still...
I can confirm that exporting is not a problem, it will be animating that will be problematic, because I suspect that naval units and cavalry units are somewhat "hard-coded" into the game. So far,

- custom texture unwrapping for cavalry have failed, the only way around this is to re-use the light cavalry skin.
- my ships are not functioning as I wanted either, with most animations not working - the only time when they do work, ironically, is when they sink.
- attempts to use bones for animation resulted in a rather.... interesting result.

It seems the only way for you then will be to replicate the skeleton of naval units by investigating the BH3 files' node and bone structures, but I can also confirm that using nodes for movement might not be a good solution. Fortunately for you however ships would not be a big problem given that you don't have a great deal of moving parts to work with - least of all for battleships. Simple craft like E-boats should pose no problems, your biggest foe however would be those which have movable turrets, especially if the number of movable turrets therein is greater than 2.

about the halftrack, there are 3 halftracks firing in the mod: the american M3, the german sdkfz 251 and the french kegresse (this last one is using the german model with a modified skin as till now we couldn't have a better model).

If you wanna work on a version of this mod playable with basic RON we have to think at what nations you wanna include (there are 6 more in TaP) and what units you wanna keep (there are 104 units more in TaP).
