Ok folks, ready to start a new mod.

The name is "1939-1945 Second Great War" and of course it's focused on World War 2.

It will be playable as normal mod and in the CTW version.

The CTW version will be installed overwriting RON core files this to can play of Army of One's (Legend017) WW II CTW campaign mod and use of the editor to create scenarios for the mod.

Wadis10, Scorch6294, Army_of_One, Coldwar Warrior,the Great Valdemar, Edilberto, MrYaR and Smarty (Martin R.) are already part of the team.
Anybody wanna join the project is wellcome.

The idea is to use years instead of ages:
- 1939 (ancient age)
- 1940 (classical age)
- 1941 (Medieval Age)
- 1942 (Gunpowder Age)
- 1943 (Enlightenment Age)
- 1944 (Industrial Age)
- 1945 (Modern Age)
- 194? (Informatio Age - an ipotetical year with the developement of secret weapons and units what have never seen combat times as war ended earlier)

- except done for civic all other level research are limited by the age reached.
For example: you cannot research the military level "Nations-in-arms" before you reached the 1945 year.

They look really good those new buildings, it's good that this mod also has lots of new buildings and skins and wonders as well as units. I can't wait for the next release. Keep it up!

What are those really large buildings supposed to be that are similar sized to the Metropolis? You might need to modify the alpha channel of the Italian one as there is some extra stuff showing.

The large buildings are War Factories and they replace original Factories.

I made some mistake with the alpha channel, sigh!

I combaine Operation barbarossa mod,
WW2 mod, age of tanks.

And all unit sound real sound.
Ex) 88mm flak gun sound(real sound)
Mauzer, Mosin, and unit spk etc.

Hey Nikox. I love the look of this but the game keeps crashing and I keep getting exception messages. I tried following your "rise.ini" instructions but could not find the replacement file in the mod package. Am I being missing something? Can you help please because this looks one cool mod to play?

Ok, now I'll contact Nikox by e-mail saying that there are more people wanting to participate in the mod, and see if there is any response. If anyone can contact Velvet, which was also important in this mod, it would be great to be able to continue. Anyway, let's see if we can finish this mod.

Unfortunately, I have no experience in building textures, modify scripts or working with art, but I am creative and I'll help editing all grammar, spelling, names and help texts in the game.
I can also give ideas (I already have some for rare resources and its effects) and I can build a campaign that I have here in my files for the game (because currently I did one Conquer the World campaign 100% complete with several territories and resources, but was doing a 2.0 for nothing until I find this topic and found it perfect).

Velvetclaw is doing his own WWII mod and I'd say most of what he's posted here is for his mod, which Nikox wasn't very happy about. I don't know if Nikox is actually using anything he's done.

Nikox has already finished his second release, and he sent it to me, but he was reluctant to release it publicly, and I'm not going to release it without his permission. I tried emailing him before Christmas to see if he'd release it then but he didn't respond.

So, as Velvet is using what has here to his mod, we can not continue. Unless someone persuade him to come back here. If not, would not make sense to continue in a different way, something that is already being continued.
Or am I wrong? If you want to make the mod anyway, count on me.

It's Nikox's mod, and Velvetclaw was never really part of it at all. I know one texture that Velvetclaw made which appeared in the release I have but that's all.

The mod can't continue until Nikox comes back, he's the main person working on this mod.

Hello folks!
sorry for this absence, but it looks like I cann't gey any signal with my usb modem, so no connection to the net. I asked for a new line, but as I'm living far from main towns I don't know when I can get it.
Today I'm back to my father's home, so I can use his connection to answer, but I don't have time to upload anything.
Right now I developed the 1.5 version of the mod what it's working exception made for a bug with a minor country that make the game crash without any error message. I couldn't solve it, so I took this time to play RON more than thinking to the mod (a nice way to say that I was lazy..).
To super77000 and Wadis10, feel free to upload the version of the mod you got, I don't care anymore about fakes what can be made with it.
Hoping to be back soon...

1.5? So it seems that there's not much to do. I wish I had participated in this mod since the beginning. But even so, if you need anything just ask that I help.
But if there is much to do yet, count on me Nikox. Preferably I would make the campaign and the texts.

I uploaded a patch for the 1.5 version of the mod:


- Corrected the polish auto plant bug.
- Updated the PzKpfw IV Ausf F help informations.
- Deleted panzers in Kingdom of Yugoslavia auto plant.

I guess we got a working without bugs structure now, we can start to think about units attributes...

if I'll have the models I'll be glad to add early jet fighters.
