Ok folks, ready to start a new mod.

The name is "1939-1945 Second Great War" and of course it's focused on World War 2.

It will be playable as normal mod and in the CTW version.

The CTW version will be installed overwriting RON core files this to can play of Army of One's (Legend017) WW II CTW campaign mod and use of the editor to create scenarios for the mod.

Wadis10, Scorch6294, Army_of_One, Coldwar Warrior,the Great Valdemar, Edilberto, MrYaR and Smarty (Martin R.) are already part of the team.
Anybody wanna join the project is wellcome.

The idea is to use years instead of ages:
- 1939 (ancient age)
- 1940 (classical age)
- 1941 (Medieval Age)
- 1942 (Gunpowder Age)
- 1943 (Enlightenment Age)
- 1944 (Industrial Age)
- 1945 (Modern Age)
- 194? (Informatio Age - an ipotetical year with the developement of secret weapons and units what have never seen combat times as war ended earlier)

Research rules at the Library:
- except done for civic all other level research are limited by the age reached.
For example: you cannot research the military level "Nations-in-arms" before you reached the 1945 year.

About the poly number I'm not an expert what I know is what's written in the library "..we should keep the model as simple as possible when we are creating it for a game, and even simpler for an RTS game because of the high number of units it may need to render in real time.."

I'll start my holydays tomorrow and I don't know how much time I'll spend on the computer, I'll be back in two weeks.

As thanks to Nikox for help on aircraft, I'm willing to donate the following bh3 models, no questions asked:

T95 Ha-Go (IJN)
T26 (USSR, KhT26 flamer model included)
Vickers 6 Ton (various factions)

Because my own mod is on hiatus (too much to do) I also can provide access to the following models, but with one condition: you must rig them for me and send back the finished max file, not a bh3, when you are done.

To prove that I'm not lying, here are some of the images of the finished models:

Other units pending: Polish "TP" series, T-27, T-28, SU-100, M3 Bison, Carden Loyd tankette (these are not finished)

I also have several unrigged models of armoured cars in various stages of completion (T92, M3 Armoured Car, BA27, et al) as well as some WW1 era models, but these will be provided only on request because unlike tanks, I have to personally rig the armoured cars and other units myself.

I should be rigging these since I have special requirements for my armoured cars, but if anyone is willing to help, feel free to let me know. Just remember that I need the wheels to be capable of being moveable.

Hi VelvetClaw,

thanks for your offert, but I'm using Scorch and Danrell's models for my mod.

I can right your models anyway, but you should wait as right now I'm busy with the 1.6 version of my mod and I've to export some models for History Soldier too.

@Nikox: just rig only what you need for this mod. Email me with your orders and I can arrange things for you - it should not take too long. You should still have my addy - it hasn't changed. I'm still struggling with the 2nd version of the M2, but once it's done I may return back to armoured cars.

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to export a submarine using RON animations, I found the root node angle to have it sinking in the right way, but I can't find the node to have the periscope moving when it's idle.
Does anybody love to help me in it?

JeluArg, are you around here still??
I've more exported models for your collection.

Hi again!
I exported a Kaga Class aircraft-carrier using RON original animations.
The 2 decks are opening when it's launching aircrafts and the trees are moving when it's sinking.
It will be available in next patch.

Sorry for the delay, but my old computer jammed and I had to buy a new one.

@solzchenitzin we modified the AI to work better with the mod, but we appreciate some feedback to know if we've to improve it or not.

@davelara1296 what version of the mod are you running? did you download the 1.65 patch??

yes, the mod is in progress still and I hope to can upload more releases in future.

I was keeping a room for the "P1000 Ratte", but I didn't get the 3D model from Scorch6294 yet.

The Maus can be a good alternative :-)

I can send you model from pic of Maus. But someone must setup it for game, its not ready, its only model with texture with some moving parts...

And...I have lot of models of 2wk era, but they are made for 1st person shooter game, its usable, after changing extension...? Some of this arent in game, for example: Jagdpanther, Jagdtiger, Panzerwerfer 42, PaK 36 and 40, ZIS ATG...

On MODDB are uploaded the BETA TEST versions of the 1.67 release:

The CTW version allows you to play CTW campaign with the mod and the use of the editor to create scenarios suitable for the mod.

The official 1.7d version of 1939-1945 Second Great War mod for RON Thrones and Patriots expansion pack is available here:

The Steam version for RON Extended Edition is available subscibing the mod here:

The CTW versions of the mod will let you play campaigns and use the editor to create scenarios with mod features (units, buildings, etc.).

There are two CTW versions, one for RON TaP and one for RON EE.

This because the data files are in different folders and you have to select the right one for your RON version.

The CTW for RON Thrones and Patriots expansion pack is available here:

The CTW for RON Extended Edition is available here:


These versions will overwrite your game core files. Make a backup copy of the Whole "Rise of Nations" directory before to install it.
