Everyone feel free to post your new coming scenarios in this thread. Currently, as many of you know, I am currently working on an, "Ancient World" Mod, that should add another element to RoN.

You basically have two options for your idea.
1) You can make your scenario a multiplayer scenario so that factions can be chosen. If you do this, you'll need an XML file that I can make for you and your script and map file as well. In you map file, you would have to put all nations on human for this.
2) You can use popup choice as your second alternative. This is slightly more complicated and I've had trouble with it in the past. Nevertheless, I would be able to help you if you need help.

Yea, there was a glitch where whenever somebody clicked the link, it would give the window for downloading mine. Oh yea, good scenario by the way, the only bad thing was that I couldn't declare war on the mainlanders. D: But I fixed that in Scenario Editor. Very fun. Good work! Keep it up!

I'm almost done with the fourth scenario in my campaign. There are one to two more scenarios to make after that.

After I finish my Alexander the Great Campaign, I'm going to work on a couple of single scenarios. One of them will be an alternative history of the USA. In other words, what if the Republic of Texas had remained independent or the Confederates had won the Civil War? The year will be 2009 and you will lead one great nation to victory! Have fun!

Make sure to not upload everything until three days before American Thanksgiving.

I am doing an alternate history campaign as well about the Confederate States winning and conflicts after between the U.S. and the C.S.A. and its allies (Mexico,Canada) but I wont reveal all.

Sounds pretty cool. How many scenarios roughly will you have in your campaign?

How exactly are you using GIMP for scenario design?

Step 1: Take map of whatever place you want the scenario to be. It can only contain 2 basic colours, but there can be shades, the shades are the only thing keeping us from quickly importing a regular map from Google.
Step 2: Load file, find the "threshold" tool. And select the "Threshold" where one colour stop and the other begins. There is a small picture of the end product, so you can use it for reference.
Step 3: Save file as .tga
Step 4: Load RoN and import with the scenario editor!
Also, I've decided to makes the Phillipines scenario part of a larger campaign featuring Russia, the E.U., N.A.T.O., the P.R.C., India, and various insurgent elements fighting for control of the world of the future. Lots of work ahead for me, still have to place some extra buildings in my Sarajevo scenario. :O

Yeah, I import maps as well, but I always find that it takes me one to two hours to manually go in and change the shades of everything to the correct colors of black and white. Does threshold make this job easier?

Hm, I don't want to reveal too much, but let's just say it's a continuation of what is happening right now in the Phillipines.

hey guys,
i'm glad to see that you all are making progress,
i have some bad news, the last two weeks of fall term have been packed with work, and exams are this saturday/ monday/ tuesday (f*ck phillips exeter)...
anyway, i am in no way done with RON, i'm just mad busy right now so i have to put my scenario on delay.
i also have a tower computer, so probably won't be working on anything over thanksgiving break...
anyway, good work everyone, i'm pumped to see some fresh content on the site,

Yeah, I'm feeling the same as you right now. I've had at least one test (not a quiz, a test) every single day now since last Thursday. Its not the end of the trimester for me, but it is the end of the marking period (equivalent to an eighth of the year), so I understand what that's like. Anyhow, I wish you best of luck Jimmy.

Okay, bad weather where I live today, so I got cranking on my scenario. Hopefully I'll fit in some more time for RON over the rest of the break....
anyway, hope others can get some work done since school is out,
peace

I'm back at school, but I'm off again in two weeks from tomorrow (because the way my schedule and free periods are set up, I get to miss the last two days of exams), so I will be back on break.
Sorry that I haven't been online lately. School was extremely insane leading right up to Thanksgiving because I had missed an entire week due to Swine Flu two weeks prior (which meant that I had a ton of catch up work to do piled ontop of all of the end of marking period assessments). Its going to get busy again, so I might not be on that often until two weeks from tomorrow.
