We should honestly start up a CTW NetCampaign, even if its unofficial.
FAQ: What's a CTW NetCampaign?
A CTW NetCampaign is basically like a CTW Campaign, except instead of there only being one player, there are as many as twenty players. This means that there is no AI and that the CTW is played out similar to that of the normal game except only with normal people.
If you are interested in this or curious, please leave a reply.

If Mac players (like me) can play against Windows through Hamachi, then I'll play as well.

I'm open to it, but how does it work? Through a mod or just keeping track on paper and playing out the games online?

I think that we have to keep track on paper.

I am mildly interested. I might have a few friends who also are interested. How soon are you guy talking?
Also, is there going to be any attempt to establish a more strategic level of play, like playing Risk (TM) cards? i.e. Own a whole continent you get a +1 handicap or tech advantage, etc?
And how about map styles? Will there be specific styles of maps to represent certain territories? Or is it just random land/random sea?

1. I think that maybe we should consider the idea of Risk-type bonuses. Its a very fun board game and I don't see why not.
2. We're going to try to get/make maps for each specific territory to give the CTW a sense of realism.
Lastly, please get your friends to come to these forums and register. I would like to hear from them about how they would like to have a NetCampaign configured.

I wouldn't mind having a blown up map of the Med (Similar to the Alexander Campaign, but on a larger scale) and then freeze us to Classical Age.
But then I'm obsessed with that time period, so I'm biased!

While this is slightly fictional, we could make a map with three emerging powers: Macedon, Rome, Carthage. There could be two old powers: Egypt and Persia. The Celts could be a barbarian nation also.
That would give us a total of six nations.
Also, by the way, Simon and I are making an ancient world mod that incorporates the everything from the first city states of Sumer, through the Bronze Age, into the Classical and Hellenistic eras, the Rise of the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire, and the Fall of Rome.
If you at all interested in helping in any way, whether it be a large role or a small role, please leave a reply to this post.

Thanks Risasi. I'll have to look at it.
Secondly, what are your skills? Do you know history very well, modding, scenario designing, scripting, or playing RoN?
At the least, you would be a beta tester, but I think we might need you to do more than that if that's possible.

I cannot mod, however I am fairly knowledgeable about this time period so I could act as a historical adviser. I could also beta test.
