Axel_of_Sweden and Edilberto's tanks skin mods, with critiques applied in photoshop format with the layers left in to show what is being done. To use this as a mod, load in photoshop/or gimp then just merge (ie. flatten) the layers and save as TGA format.
as suggest in the comments to the original mod's authors. Copy a layer of the originals (from the game) on top of your modded skin, then apply it as a filter with around 50% opacity in softlight, hardlight, color burn or whatever looks best. Fiddle with the contrast and sharpen and sharpen edges a bit. I did it with your skin and it worked wonders on it, with just 5 second of work. Then since i had time added a few more details (like snow flakes in the wheels) and/or added a noise layer and/or tinted the wheels/tracks to match the tank body. another final suggestion ALWAYS apply colors as a layer first and as a color filter (that way u dont loose any of the details) in total probably less then a few minutes to spiffy up the 4 skins.
it would help if you wrote out step by step instructions on how to exactly use your techniques as some of us don't really know how to use photoshop...some of us don't even use photoshop :(.

uthum, i think u need to learn photoshop or gimp (the free version) if u want to take your skinning to the next level. best place for that is 3dbuzz.com
but like i said all i did was copied the original skin on top of the modded skin but just applied the layer as an lighting effect, cant get any simpler then that. i added a few more things just to make it better but just the ONE step really improved it already.

The bad thing is that the old skin shows.(My Leopard C2 isnt supposed to look like a King Tiger.

cant expect miracles with a few minutes of work. if u want to get rid of the tiger details u need to be go in and patch it up. the important thing is not to loose the details. the technique i used to add the details back u would not need to do if u use the coloring technique i mentioned which is not to just paint over the original skin but apply color layers till it looks right.

Thanks ODA for the tutorial skins. I've always wanted to see some good skins in the layered format. This will help a lot.
I had some idea from reading posts by Kingroy and a few others about the technique, but couldn't quite duplicate what they were talking about without being able to see the individual layers.
