The Far East

Author File Description

Overview
==============================================

The Nations:

Japan (Japanese) <-You start as Japan->
Hokkaido (Japanese)
South Korea (Koreans)
North Korea (Koreans)
Manchuria (Chinese)
China (Chinese)
East Russia (Russians)
Siberia (Russians)

You start as Japan, currently peaceful with her neighbouring nations, but all could change in times to come. Yours is a naturally beautiful island, and your neighbours know this, and may attempt to take it from you. The choice is yours: co-operate with your fellow Asians, or unite all of the Far East under Japanese rule.
You have but one mountain on your main island, which means that metal may become a much desired resource. Other landmasses and nations have mountains, however...

Playability: 5
This, overall, is a very fun scenario to play when you're sick of all the Western-themed ones out there. AFAIK, there aren't any bugs in this scenario that would really take the fun out of it.

Balance: 5
The 8 nations on the map have about the same territory percentage, and Japan has less Metal available on purpose. Basically, the nations are about equal, with Japan having a small disadvantage.

Creativity: 4
I really haven't seen many fun scenarios based on the Far East in this game, so this scenario is a breath of fresh air. Japan needing to get Metal is one of the most creative and fun things to have as a story basis.

Map Design: 5
Japan looks very accurate at the beginning of the game, and as you conquer every nation on the map, you'll realize that the entire Asian mainland looks really accurate in comparison to their real-life counterparts.

Story/Instructions: 3
There isn't really a story in this map, and the instructions are merely to conquer all nations to get Japan some metal goodness. Still, the instructions get to the point instead of dragging the scenario on for 30 minutes.

Additional Comments:
I'm basing all of this off a playthrough from about a week ago, so it may not be as accurate as it should be.

I couldnt declare war on other nations, which really took out the whole fun of it.

Balance: 4
I guess it was balanced, except of the disadvantage in an island, but i guess it could be an advantage too.

Creativity: 4
It was a simple conquest map. the creative thing about it was that itsnt the map of europe or the middle east, its a change from a time to come.

Map Design: 4
Nice map really looks like the far east, you planned everything and made it by yourself good work!

Story/Instructions: 2
There wasnt much story here, just a simple map with simple objectives.

Additional Comments:
Very nice and original scenario comparing it to simple conquest maps, just too bad i cant fight any other nation!
