This modification makes a certain set of civilian buildings that were previously only available through the scenario editor, now available through construction via Citizens!
In this mod is a small variety of houses/offices/apartments/monuments available for construction in single-player games. There are a few asian buildings, a few capitalistic offices, some lower-class apartments and offices, and the nice mediterranean-looking houses (Italian pride :) ). There is also the Washington monument, Lenin statue, and the courtyard fountain available.
The buildings chosen were based on my interests, but I have also included an extensive tutorial for those who wish to select their own set of buildings.
Please read the readme.txt before installing and for installation instructions.
When I first got this game I was excited for the civilian buildings. I was then left upset that I could not build them to decorate my cities and place strategic fortifications, so I made this mod. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
sounds pretty cool thanks :o) ill download it and give it a try

I downloaded it, follow all the instructions of instalation but it doesn't work!
(I don't know if it doesn't work because of the language of game, I don't think so)

Why does the AI build Office Buildings? Surely it can't appreciate the aesthetic value?

This is an awesome mod. I used your tutorial which is very good by the way. I was able to understand it easily and I have made my own set of buildings. Thank you for your hard work.

Useful, it allows me to make my cities bigger cheaply, and it allows nice personalization.
Sure its not a unit or civ mod but i like this.

AI can build office buildings in Medieval Age.

TO fix the problem with AI:
-Read the manual included in the zip to understand well.
1: Open the buildingrules.xml whit Windows notepad.
2: Search for: "Officebuilding11".
3: In Officebuilding11 find in his Preq list:
Preq0. Then change the "none" value to the age do you want see it, like "Industrial Age".
Or use the command "disable"
4: Now close and save. That's it.
Sorry for my bad english, i'm chilean. Northamericans!! Learn spanish!!.

Thanks for this, I tried to do this myself, but i realized it would take a while. Everything seems to be alright. Does anyone know if it is possible to make houses and apartments increase the population limit, and office buildings to increase the commerce cap? That would make it worthwile building them, other than just for decoration.
