Lead Napoleon as he tries to invade Britain. The British aren't the only European power you have to worry about though. This is not just a straight up scenario battle, it's almost a campaign in itself. All heroes are here, Napoleon, General Wellington, Archduke Charles, etc and all respawn if they are killed in battle (after a rest). All UU units are enabled including Imperial Guard, Red Coats, Ship of Line, many more.
This is a heavily scripted scenario that presents you with many choices and events within the game. Thanks again to Strikeforce for the inspiration, feel free to use any of the work I've done here if you like. Enjoy.

Hmmm, no I'm not sure why it would, especially since it plays fine, I have also updated the mod to include and option at the start of the game for difficulty setting so I recommend you re-download the file and start new game, no need to worry about the scenario editor. Have fun!!

You have a 'peasant' setting but it wan't easy at all. After I finally defeated the Russians the British suddenly have a last stand with a hundred guys and that was pretty annoying but then the silly Austrians declared war on me and I'm now stuck where I started. The only city I have on the island is Dusseldorf which is virtually useless since it keeps on getting bombarded. I've also barely got any resources. So how on earth is this scenario supposed to be winnable?!? Please don't make me give it a low score for playability! It started off very nicely but now its really annoying! Please help!!
PS. Are the Dutch supposed to do anything? Because in my game they are sitting around not sending any attacks |

Well, the peasant setting sets the game ai to easiest so it shouldn't be as hard, also all the unit spawns are less depending on diff setting, I'll check the script again at the final stand part, maybe I forgot to factor in the diff setting, as for the Dutch, that's completely up to the AI as far as what they do, if you are playing the game on peasant then that mean's they are set to easiest so they probably won't do much. |

Yeah its just that the Austrians and British seemed to be doing a bit better because they always shut off my attacks. But what I really like about your scenario is when it seems all is lost but then another new nation enters on your side with massive amounts of reinforcements. I especially liked that little twist with the Russians.
You need to post more scenarios! This one is really good with all the decisions and triggers etc.
Keep up the good work! |

Thanks, I appreciate that, you should be able to overcome the British and Austrians, it's hard for me to give advice as I'm not sure what decisions you've made along the way and I also don't want to spoil anything for you but if you hang in there and keep fighting you will likely find some new alliances or resource bonus, also please keep in mind I designed this to be a bit of a mini campaign that offer's a variety of ways for the scenario to play out, so I would save your game periodically so if you make a choice that turns ugly you can re-load and try something else. Thanks for playing and let me know if you want me to give you a few "spoilers" if you feel you are stuck and can't win. |

So you do you defeat the British? Do you have to take all their cities or kill the Duke of Wellington?
And I managed to capture Manchester but I doubt I can get any further because both my navy and my army collapsed and my resources when I attacked Manchester so now I am being continuously bombarded.
It seems the Irish and Scots are on easiest but the British and Austrians almost definitely aren't since they are able to get very big armies and use them well too. [Edited on 10/07/10 @ 03:59 AM]

Well, have you defeated the pirates or mercenaries yet? If not I would first suggest to try to find the pirate king (try searching the lower left part of the map), also, if you chose to ally with the Dutch you can build building in their territory so I would build some Docks and Military builds on their island, that way you can attack from Ireland and you have the Dutch their to give you some protection, plus it might "slap" the Dutch ai into making some attacks, I didn't write the AI scripts so I have no control over what it does, but if the British and Austrians seem to be doing better it's only because of the troop boost they got, even on easiest the AI will respond to attacks if they have the troops, I'd advise doing what I said, build some military builds on Ireland, find the pirate king, destroy the mercenary base (if you haven't already), that will give you some resource bonuses, then I'd begin attacking at Plymouth and go from there. |

Thanks I'll try that. The problem I had was that at one point I had absolute naval power and massive amounts of resources but then since my bomb ships starting attacking the wrong buildings so soon they had enough docks to rebuild their navy and fortresses to stop my seas attacks. Ireland also gets bombarded, more heavily than I do.
One thing that is annoying about RON is the fact that those taunts such as 'attack' don't seem to do anything to push the ai along.
PS. I have defeated both the pirates and mercenaries and I am allied with the Scots and Dutch. Now I have two cities on Britain but the Austrian & British armies will make it difficult for me to do another successful attack. Perhaps I could try taking the Austrian capital if I am able to get more resources to bombard it.[Edited on 10/07/10 @ 04:50 PM]

Playability: 5
Lot's of fun, I agree with the other poster, very suprised this has so few reviews, incredible scenario!!
Balance: 5
A great job here, the game is a challenge, but not impossible either, I also like the option to choose difficulty settings at the start, nice touch.
Creativity: 5
5 stars for sure, lot's of story, twists and turns, great replay value, I'm going to play it for the 5th time now, always something new.
Map Design: 5
As was mentioned this map may be the map from the Napoleon Scenario but you still added alot of touches to it so I'll give a 5.
Story/Instructions: 5
Very good story, I also like that you spaced out the popups, I really don't like the scenario's where people make you sit through 20 popups before you get to the game, you placed them where and when they were needed to advance the story.
Additional Comments:
I think this should have been the official scenario for the Napoleon Campaign, frankly I found that one to be rather dull considering it would have been one of the biggest battles in history had it ever actually occurred. Your scenario makes it epic like it should have been. Good Work![Edited on 01/22/11 @ 06:57 AM]
