This scenario throws you into the shoes of Swedish King Gustavus Adolphus at the height of his military carrer. In order to win, you must drive back Wallenstein and take the city of Leipzeg. You have 5 battalions to do this. This scenario requires Thrones and Patriots (the Dutch substitute for the Swedes). This is my first scenario so there is not a whole lot of scripting in it, but I tested it multiple times and spent about 4 hours balancing the forces. The fight mostly takes place on a large field between small forests on either side. Good luck and if you have any comments, critisms, or suggestions please post them, I want to improve this as much as possible. Enjoy. |

Oh and by the way, this scenario is pretty hard. You have no reinforcements and you can't build forces. Hint: 1.Use your battalions in tandem
2.Hit one side hard.
3.Coax the Romans into attacking you
4.Always leave one-two battalions for emergency reinforcements closeby
These were just a few things I found through trial and error.
A little more background info: This battle was during the 30 years War between Protestants and Catholics. Historically this ended in a Swedish tactical victory but a strategic defeat because they drove back Wallenstein's forces, but lost Gustavus in the process. |

Hey everyone, what do you think? Hate it? Like it?
Think it's alright? I want to improve it. If you give me some criticism or praise, I will implement some of your suggestions (if the're valid). I want to put an updated version out which plays better, but if no one gives me suggestions on what I need to do to get it to play better, I can't put out an updated version. So how is it everyone? |

Playability: 3
(Easy to play)
Balance: 5
(Both sides are evenly balanced)
Creativity: 3
(Quite creative, nice idea)
Map Design: 2
(Not very much map design)
Story/Instructions: 2
(No story or instructions are given during the scenario)
Additional Comments: A bit of scriping would do it good, and mabye a bit stuff on the map, but it is a nice scenario. Good job ;)

Thank you very much, I'll try to make the environment a little more interesting, and spice it up a bit. |

Honeslty i haven't tested the map yet, but i think i can picture it before me()
Make the german forces 1/4 bigger than the swedish forces, so you get a challenge!
Also, you should make some unique unit for Sweden, for example the Junkers from the Napoleon campaign. (If you know how to script it, of course)
Maybe you should make the battle at Breutenfieldt too, historically that battle was evenly balanced, so maybe that would be fun for the noobs() |

Playability: 3
IT was ok but only moving the army forward and reinforcing it was a little boring and the scenario was very short.
Balance: 3
It was easy. the swedish army had much more forces than the roman army.
Creativity: 3
Nice idea. You tried to make it historical but there was scripting missing and the terrain looked very empty..
Map Design: 2
The terrain was quite empty. putting few forests and mountains doesnt make it a map.. and only 1 city..
Story/Instructions: 3
There wasnt description of the story and instructions INSIDE the scenario. It isnt enough to tell about it in the file description.
Additional Comments:
Could be better requires some more work for that.
