The Vikings have the Power of The Barbarian.
*+1 City Limit(must research at least one civic.) Cities are free.
*+150% Population Limit. May exceed maximum limit by 50%
*Barracks units and citizens move 50% faster.
*Military research is not required for unit upgrades.
Why do we have to back up and replace all the files? Why cant we just place them in the mod folder like the other mods?
Jordan how can you rate it when you haven't even downloaded it yet?

I'm sorry but this doesnt seem to represent the Vikings that well. The vikings/norsemen used axes alot, throwing axemen, wore animal skins for their own type of armor and were a very nomadic tribe. If you played Age of mythology you know what I mean. Also you didn't edit the units to represent the vikings at all, just renamed them. You could have done a little more research at least. Oh and free cities? Kinda overpowered dont you think? you could just build cities all over and win a territory victory within minutes. Also maybe they should recieve free militia upgrades since normal civilians would be warriors. Maybe you could revise these mistakes and come up with a better version?

in order to make it selectable and not have to replace files. u need to create a info.xml file. look at the multiplayer mod doc in the miscellenous files for an example.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but how is this considered a Viking mod if you just changed the names of the units? It's one thing to change the names but as Gangstamar mentioned this doesn't exactly represent the Vikings. I don't understand what makes this Viking civ. differnt from the other European ones. I think if you followed Gangtamar;s suggesttions this would be a really cool mod.

Well the Vikings used axes but almost never by throwing them. And also the sword was one of the most important weapons in the whole mythology of the Vikings. They didn't wear fur, they had wool clothing. Rise of nations is just another one of those wrong pictures of Vikings as some kind of heroic wagner warriors. Damnit they were early medieval swedes, norwegians and Danes and they were much like the rest of northern europe. Try to check things up the next time you open your mouths. Oh yeah, they wore chainmail and iron helmets too... and no, no horns...
