This is a script for Rise of Nations patch 3 and later. Unzip and install the resulting folder it in your .scenarioScripts folder (create the Scripts folder if it is not already present), and "no_end_techs" will appear under the Custom game type's "Script" option.
This script disables the four endgame technologies, Missile Shield, World Government, Global Prosperity, and Artificial Intelligence. I had noticed a number of games setup to end in the Modern Age, just because people didn't want to play with the endgame techs, so I wrote this script to open up the Information Age to these players.
The four endgame techs will still appear in the Library, and the Library will still be visited by the Tab hotkey, but attempting to research the technologies leads to no result.
