You play as Gondor, with your allies Theoden of Rohan and Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth. You will relive the great moments of the battle with breathtaking cinematics and edge of your seat gameplay and balance.
The scenario is not entirely true to the movie (even less true to the books), but the added features create much more layers of complexity than throwing units at the enemy.
Please read the Readme, as it contains important information regarding the optional soundtrack.
This is a great scenario for fans of both the books and the movies.

Great idea for a scenario.
One major game balance flaw is that the Gondor player can build loads of the small, fast ships from the only harbor in the south. Those ships will arrive in time to stop ALL of the enemy renforcements flowing from the east that have to cross the river. Moving most of your forces to the river to support your first ships will greatly help until you have enough ships to completely secure the river.
When that happens, the game becomes exceptionally easy. All of the other Gondor forces are then free to squash the enemy forces that appear in the north, just west of the river. Once I found there arrival location, I built 5 towers and a fort surrounding that area to take care of all future enemy arrivals from that location.
Although the arrival of the blue enemy forces was a surprise, I was able to take my now huge army over to squash them...every time they appeared.
Suggestions:
The harbor has to go. The great battle of Pellenor Fields was not known as the great Gondor navel blockade.
Don't know if this is possible with a Barbarian rally, but it would be awesome to change the Nazgul army into the Nazgul air force. Have airplanes represent the Nazgul and change the airplane artwork to a Nazgul.
If possible, change the enemy purple reinforcements to elephants.
Had fun playing it...thanks.

map sounds awesome, but maybe you could make it for thrones and patriots also, my normal ron crapped out.

How do I get this to work? I installed it as said, but when I tried to start a quick battle on scenario mode, it didn't show up.
What I tried that semi-worked was opening it with "Load Scenario". But then there seemed to be serious scripting problems. The only enemies were catapults at Osgiliath and very few foot troops (5 or so, which were killed off by arrows and never re-spawned).
The events (ride of the Rohirrim, coming of the Haradrim and their horn) worked, but no enemies came!
