cool ..um but Anzacs were Australian/New Zealanders. ANZAC stands for Australian New Zealand Auxilliary Corp. So they probably should go to the British, and the Boers were the Dutch and German african colonist. So maybe they should go to the Dutch and Germans instead.[Edited on 02/03/05 @ 11:25 PM]

no, you are right, but since i dont know how to add units with xml, i had to replace it with a different kind of unit model that already existed and a model that i didnt already use. i picked the african nations because to me, it made sense considering this war was in africa. so, it was my best bet to use. also, i didnt rename the models. they still retain their original names of "bolt-action riflemen", or just plain, "riflemen".it still works tho, and thanks for the models![Edited on 02/04/05 @ 03:21 PM]

ur supposed to get the fusiliers in the industrial age because this mod goes from the EARLY to late ind. ages. in the early Ind. Age, soldiers had Rifled Muskets. If you look at the way the fusileers fire, they dont reload until they've fired about 3 shots- which was how the early Ind. Age units fired. plus, they are very cheap and quick to make, unlike the bolt-action riflemen. so it gives a bit strategy there- quick but easily killed, or longer to make, but more powerful?
so, no screw-up, i did that on purpose. |

Hey,
Just received RoN: Gold this morning, courtesy of Amazon UK.
I've downloaded this Mod (all 4 parts) but there doesn't seem to be any instructions - or am I just getting blinder? lol, probably the latter.
Anyway, not knowing ANYTHING about mods for this game, how/where do I install it? I read that the later parts of the mod have installers - which is cool - but what about the first bits?
Thanks,

You don't need ant of the other versions- you just need this one- version 4.
this one has an installer and an "uninstaller". find the installer, double click on it and just keep clicking next until its done installing. start the game, and when you do a quick game, set the game rules to: Custom Game. You'll then see a bunch of options. do watever you want to the other options, but to start the mod, look for the tab that says, "Scripts" and choose the script that says, "Empires Rise Again", and ur done! |
