There are sounds in this zip file, that's why it's a little big. Keep the sounds in the same folder as the scenario, so they play during the scenario.
BATTLE HISTORY: Alexander army pushed Darius into the north of Babylon to their last confront. Darius reunited an enormous Persian army to face Alexander in open field. Alexander with an army that as half the Persian one, used a brilliant strategy, capture Darius so it end the war. He forced is right wing far enough so it can give in time to use his companions and flanked the battle and so catch Darius in the rear! This toke too much of is men and he as obligated to return back for help is own lines before it was too late!

YOU MISSION: organize your battle tactic the best you can to accomplish your mission (kill Darius). To help you, you have a support bar to manage your vast army. You control your soldiers completely. Parmieno army is different, you can only command them to go forward or to retreat. Alexander Companion are the best and the fastest knights in the battle field, use them to catch Darius and protect your wings, don’t let your lines be destroyed or you lose.
1- The only thing that gives you victory is to catch and kill King Darius.
2- Don’t let your army be defeated in the field or you lose.
3- Don’t let Macedonian camp be destroyed.
NOTE: I have to give special thanks to Meat puppet, without is Support Bar and his Script tricks this scenario as not possible. He is the best scenario innovator on the site.

Great playability. nice scripting with the command tool bar thing.
Both armies were fairly well balanced mabey a few more troops for Alexander.
The battle was very creative but the Alexander part was already done a couple times by Meat Puppet

The Battlefield was FLAT in real life.
The Chariots charged around THAT.

I know lord, the river as the way i found to create the obstacles left by the persians to slow the macedonians...
i nkow that the terrain in real life was flat ;)

The improvised menu bar always helps when playing you scenarios that have vast amounts of units. However, this particular scenario's tool bar was not as smooth as others. It may have just been my machine, but it was hard to recall troops after they had been ordered to attack.
Here lies the problem to this scenario: balance. The Macedonian army has absolutely no chance of winning unless the player moves half the heavy cavalry to a corner of the map before the Persians attack, and then circles around to the rear to catch Darius from behind. This of course must be done quickly as the Allied army disintigrates under Persian pressure in about five minutes.
Although possibly too challenging, the scenario is sill interesting as it mixes a bit of history with a bit of the 2004 movie.

The map looks wonderful, especially the camps. It is a shame that the best looking parts are not showcased during gameplay.
Everything was put forth quite well, like always.
This is not the best "Alexander" scenario out there, but it is still certainly worth a download and a go. Just be fair warned that it can be frustrating at first because the amount of time the player has to maneuver before the onslaught of Persian forces is small. All in all, a job well done once again.
