README
Version: Alpha
Percent Completed: 30%
Creator: Roy M. A. a.k.a. “KingRoy1"
E-Mail: KingRoy1@aol.com
________How to Install:
- Keep clicking next using the installer.
________Mod features:
- Over 20 New units
- New trench system
- New Barracks and City Skins
- New terrain texture
- New style of warfare
________Mod requirements:
- You must play in only the following Ages (you cannot choose only one. You MUST play through both Ages): Enlightenment and Industrial
- The mod works with only the following countries: America, France, Britain, and Germany
- Choose the map style as “Great Sahara”, and you will see the new ground texture.
________Mod Info:
-Americans: The Americans have many unique units. One of which being the “Union Infantry”. After the American Civil War, the Union had renamed American soldiers as, “The Union Troops”. It wasn’t until late in the war that the grunt got his name as the, “dough boy”.
-French: The French have a strong unit, the “Poilu”. The poilu were famous French World War One soldiers who wore blue, fuzzy coats and had long beards. This is where they get their name from, since “Poilu”, means “Hairy”, in French.
-Germans: The Germans are a powerful nation, with several strong units. First is the infamous Kaiser Guard. These soldiers are powerful and have a long range, which is useful for defending and laying down suppressing fire. The next powerful German unit, is the Iron Cross Trench Raider. This unit travels in groups of six, and has only a melee attack. Although weak when walking, this unit packs a big punch when fighting hand to hand with enemy troops.
-Britain: Britain has many unique units as well. Their British Tommies, Trench Defenders, Highlanders, Black Watch Units, and Mounted Officers are serve as a great advantage to the British Empire.
Known Issues:
- Game WILL crash if you play as another country, or in a different age.
- Ground texture may be a bit sketchy
- the unique units don’t show up at the loading screen
- the unit info is wrong for most of the units.
What to Add in the Next Version (BETA):
- 2 New countries: Austria and Russia
- More units
- More ground textures
- Add tanks
- Add new artillery
- Add new airplanes (eg: Zeppelin)

yea, ive been meaning to change the pop limit and make it higher... so that'll be included in a patch or something.
as for the iron cross officers, there range is, on average, 3-4 more than the average soldier, and their attack kills one unit in less than 2-3 hits... but i ussually play with infinate resources because im a poor n00b.... :p |

Okay it didn't work for me. I put the file in Program Files/Microsoft Games (like your ERA mods) and it isn't in the game when I select the mods. So what folder does it go into? |

( even though you'd probably know alot more about ww1 than me)some suggetions that i have are:
Russia:
troops come in groups of 6, it was the largest land force in the world and called the Russian Steamroller
the russians had a sikorsky bomber, one of the earliest bomber aircraft
cossacks
since Russia was behind the West at this time i also dont think they should have mgs
Germany:
spiky helmet troops :)
the germans had field guns that had a range of several hundred kilometers.. i think it was the big bertha or something (maybe a howitzer skin with massive range?)
Triplane( like the Red Baron's)
Probably a Turk civ too they were in the war
Britain:
Anzacs
Tanks
Americans:
Doughboys
French:
Curiasser- lot's of these guys in nice uniforms were mown down the first days of the war
Imperial Mercinaries?( Morocco, Vietnam?)
General:
Mortars
