Time SWAT: Aztec Gold by King Walker
Join a Portuguese Time SWAT team quest in the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan, 1519. where your mission is with the help of Mexican Recon team steal Montezuma Aztec treasures from under Spanish Conquistador Cortes nose under the assault to the city.
You should print these instructions since there is no readme.txt file, they will be useful. The rest is in-game instructions.
There are sounds in this zip file, that's why it's a little big. Keep the sounds in the same folder as the scenario, so they play during the scenario.
Year 2047- The Portuguese government is under a bad management that leaded the country to political and several financial scandals, Portugal was excluded from the federation and the Time SWAT project. Without a self government and commercial orientation, the nation felt into a strong dependence of their neighbor country, Spain, the Spanish now control all Portuguese commerce, banks and tourism. Due to a weak government members, the Portuguese nation feels that the country now depends on Spain to have a stable life among the other federation European countries.
An old and respected Portuguese General, Jorge Almeida, thinks that the only thing that will give again the nation independence is a government takedown and a cut to all Spanish financial help. With several military contacts the only thing Gen. Almeida needs is financial support to the new government. Almeida contacted an old friend, Mexican Gen. Hugo Mendez, responsible for Federation Time SWAT recon operations on Center and South America, with the propose to let him use the time jump to steal Aztec treasures in the colonization ages, so he have funds to support the Portuguese government after the revolution.
Gen. Mendez in response to Gen. Almeida request, accepted the challenge only asking 40% of the gold and silver that belonged to their ancestral and was stolen from the Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes. This revenge was happily taken from the both Portuguese and Mexican generals. So Gen. Almeida grouped the best Portuguese Special Forces to the mission and waited Gen. Mendez order.
Your mission is to reach Montezuma in Tenochtitlan, beware Spanish camps in the area, avoid big confrontations, once at Montezuma presence, prepare your escape and select the Temple of Gods to start the Gold and Silver extraction… the timing must be good because we don’t know when Montezuma or Cortes find what we really are. And meet the Mexican Recon team at the rendezvous extraction point.

Great scenario. Loved it. The only problem was that it began to feel a bit dull late in the game. The masses were all against my commandos. Loved it
Balance: 4
Very difficult.

Great imagination there King Walker

Great map design. Loved Tenochtitlan
Story/Instructions: 4
Great. I was only disappointed because there was a clear lack of tactical depth. There were no different ways to win. I was specially disappointed when during the game because i choose to not sack the temple of the gods and then i thought i was going to defend the city with the aztecs and in return for my help they would award me the gold. But the attack never came. If i did no sack the temple, the Spanish do not attack. This disappointed me alot...
Additional Comments:
Overall a great scenario. Try to vary the ways to win and this scenario would have been a perfect 5.

(Excellent scenario King, great story and inviorement, but this as just one problem, like LGP said the Spanish should attack without the Temple sack, it would make the scenario much better in the playability aspect!)
Balance: 5
(I thought it was hard, because every time theAztec and the Spanish began the attack on me, my troops had not change of survival, but in the secound time i played, i put some of my forces protecting the way out when the other sacked the gold, and... fantastic, much easier, nice job!!!)
Creativity: 5
(Excellent triggers, loved the command that we can give up and watch to massacre of the Aztec, great job!!)
Map Design: 5
(Great map, lots of eyecanddie, great job in the aztec capital... you are one of the best map designers in this site, congratulations!)
Story/Instructions: 5
(God story, the scenario was very supported by it, historical names and story line of the invasion of Cortes are correct, but i think in his first aproch to the city he dosent had the ship support... but nice job!!!)

(Great game, and excellent story role and a very nice Portuguese special unit names... but i think that that the other Swat scenarios are better than this one, but is a very nice job!!)
Balance: 4
(A bit hard, its a little dificult to manage the escape when everyone is attacking you, you could improve the timings in the game so whe can organize better the rout to the rendezvous point!! At the end of every Swat scenario someone in the end turns against you, maybe you could do one with an happy ending!!!!!)
Creativity: 5
(Great job bro, excellent triggers, and you deserve a 5 for that command where we quit and watch to invasion "movie", very nice!!)
Map Design: 5
(Fantastic and amazing Aztec city, lots of goodies with all the units and scenarios aspects.)
Story/Instructions: 5
(A nice story that follows the entire game, and give us a special taste of revenge from the Spanish!!! Great job!)
Additional Comments:
An nice game to play, a little quick but trilling, this Swat episodes are becaming a special mark of yours and this site!!! |
