Pirates of the Caribbean by King Walker.
You should print these instructions since there is no readme.txt file, they will be useful. The rest is in-game instructions.
There are sounds in this zip file, that's why it's a little big. Keep the sounds in the same folder as the scenario, so they play during the scenario.
This download have 2 scenarios, you should play then by this order (to follow the game and story understanding) :
1st: Escape of Marseille
2nd: Pirates of the Caribbean
In both scenarios, you will see some units (ships or foot-units) that are trap or lonely in a corner of the map. They only exist to make the script orders work, you can mess with them… so let those guys stay there!
SCENARIO: Escape from Marseille.
This scenario, is not a real scenario, it’s a quick and easy introduction so you understand the main one story (Pirates of the Caribbean), play it nicely, it’s easy and fun. You take the role in this scenario of a first mate Jack Gow, under orders of the Spanish Pirate Almeyda. This tells you when Captain Almeyda returns to Marseille to meet the Duke of Marseille, the one he has a contract of piracy! You mission is to follow your Captain and then return to the Ship to escape from Marseille, the rest you will find and understand from the game instructions.
Here you can only use 2 key commands
-“1”, that allows you to enter the Ship, The Dark Leviathan.
-“9”, that you can use once aboard the ship… this will give more speed to the ship for a few seconds, your sailor make all efforts to make the ship faster…but this reduce the ship power.
Along your escape in the Marseille streets, you can select some of the main cyan buildings, they will give you some things that can help:
Rum- the Rum will restore your health in 80%.
Horse Pills- since Jack rides a horse here, those pills make him faster for a while.
Sailors- those armed Sailors can help you along the streets to the harbor.
SCENARIO: Pirates of the Caribbean.
This is the game main scenario, you now are in Caribbean… here you must do a lot of thing to became a true pirate captain. You must gather and join crew for your ship, conquer Caribbean colonies that are protected by Pirates, French, British and Spanish Army and Fleet… and of course, you must steel gold and find ancient hidden pirates treasures, your main quest is to gather the Cap´Almeyda medallion that’s divided in 6 parts, so you can find Almeyda main treasure. The jewel of this game is the your ship, all game happens around it, The Dark Leviathan is the unit more worked in RoN, here a list of things you can do with it:
SHIP COMMANDS:
Key “9” Devils speed- this command tells your pirates to set the ship to max speed, this increases the ship speed, making it the faster ship in Caribbean, it will stay that way for 30 seconds, time enough to escape from difficult situations. But during that time or fire power and range is reduced. You can only execute this command if you have at least 10 crew members on board.
Key “7” To Cannons rats- this command tells your pirates to forget almost all ship navigation orders and go to all cannons on board, making your ship with more fire power and range for 30 seconds, the true terror of Caribbean Sea. But during that time your ships speed is reduced a lot making it an easy target. You can only execute this order if you have at least 1 supply aboard, you can get supplies in Goods Stores or by plundering ships and military facilities. Every time you use this command, 1 supply aboard is used.
Key “3” Drop crew- this command drops your crew in boats to enter the colonies, the ship is great to battle against ships and building, but against soldiers you should use your own pirates. This command makes your ship more vulnerable, very low speed and low fire-power but still enough to bombard town and help your pirates on land. To do almost everything on land, like visiting buildings or searching for treasures, you must have your crew off board. You will have a crew marker, like one for gold, supplies or treasure, when you execute the command the game creates on boats crew according with that marker, it came always with half pirates with swords and the another half of pirates with guns, for example: if you have 12 crew, when you do the “drop crew” command it will create 6 gun pirates and 6 sword pirates and your crew marker goes to 0. It always creates half’s, so if you have for example 7 crew, it only creates 3 gun pirates and 3 sword pirates… of course you lose one ship member, you should take that as a onboard casualty, to compensate, every time you drop the crew you get fresh pirates. You can get crew to your ship in bars or in other ships that you plunder.
Key “1” Upload crew- to execute this command you must have at least one unit near the Dark Leviathan. This command brings onboard all your pirates that are on land and restores your crew marker and ship speed and power. To do most of the buildings thing you must have at least one unit near it and select it.
Notes:
-The zoom in the game is locked, it only changes when you have or have not your crew onboard.
-to the main battle is better to use the key “7” command, or your ship wont resist long.
-avoid big battles, the European Armadas are very strong when they join several ships.
-beware, all military nations on the game are against you.
-every nation is searching for treasures, so if you get knowledge of some location, go there before it’s too late.
MAKE THE GAME EASIER- if you want the game to be easier, you can cheat, just go to the script and in the first lines change the starting amounts of gold, supplies or crew members.
THANKS FOR PLAYING: I hope you have fun playing this scenario and will come back and tell me what you think about it.

A nice naval scenario, I dont think there are that many on RON Heaven that just primarily focus on naval engagements. my only gripe (this is me being a grammar Nazi)im not sure if you are a native english speaker or trying to introduce the sceanrio in "pirate talk" either way good stuff and i would really like to see additional naval scenarios of this calibur |

Very playable. I liked that "hotkey" thing to control the Leviathan.
Balance: 4
Gave it a 4, because I was outnumbered many times, but it wasn't that hard.
Creativity: 5
I've never seen somebody making a scenario like this one, good job!
Map Design: 4
Honestly, I think the map had some fails, but you put the right "old" names on the islands.
Story/Instructions: 5
A nice story, with many instructions and even some historial explanations.
Additional Comments:
Keep up the good job!!! |

Very nicely done. But my issue is that the number of crews decrease after each unload and reload of crew. Even without fighting a battle.
Balance: 4
Sometimes too many enemies attack at once. And pirates are too weak on land.
Creativity: 5
Awesome thinking especially the dialogues.
Map Design: 5
Very nice map.
Story/Instructions: 4
The story is very good but there should have been more instructions about ship repair and recruiting new pirates.
