A full-gameplay modification for RON T&P with instructions... in italian ^^ but i think you will understand names in the game and tables in the PDF instructions because words are very similar in most cases, so i think you will understand if you read "arciere" instead of "archer" and "oplita" instead of "hoplite", etc.

From ancient to medieval in 5 ages. No more attriton except for scottish --> russians in the original game, no more hit bonus, except for flanking, no more 3 figure units, no more ramping cost for military units...
Units have different characteristics: for example in the heavy infantery barbarians are fast and deadly but they suffer missile weapons, hoplites have hight armour, attack and HP but are slow and expensive; legions are just-over-average in all
The mod is for T&P but there is no senate in this version because without it the AI plays much better.

The ages are: ancient age, bronze age, classical age, dark age, medieval age.

S_t_e_v_e22 Why is it in Italian anyway?
S_t_e_v_e22 I suggest that you fix where the unit icons are, the archer icon (what you click to build it) is under upgrade. I also cannot research military level 5 and science level 5. Either level 5 or level 6.

The mod is in italian because i am italian and that is its original language; i started to translate in english the PDF instructions but i have lost all the data, so it is a work i will start again later. also to translate names in english i would translate "typenames.xml" but that is not so easy because the unit's names are not the original in the game. I remember that war elephants in the mod was something similar to atl-atl in the original game...
The position of unit icons is not a bug ^^. There are many unit types, then i had to use also the position of the "upgrade icons" for units; also unit upgrades are free and you haven't to click on an upgrade icon, but every unit upgrades itself when you have researched the right age and military upgrade.
You cannot research any library tech beyond the fourth upgrade, corresponding to the last age upgrade in the mod ( medieval --> enlightenment age in original RON ); you can see that MIL4 allows 200 pop. I think also that with no ramping cost, a 400 or 500 economy cap instead the 260 cap of the mod ( the forth economic upgrade ) allows only an unit spamming, that is not what i want for my mod :)

The name and the units in the army of a single nation in the mod was not so easy to choose. The mod covers the period from ancient age to medieval, so for example britons in the classical age were not anglosaxons because they were celts ( em i right? They had also a lot of contacts with gauls of the north of the France ), and for example the fact they can train chariots is because when Caesar arrived in Great Britain he found chariots in briton's armies.
You can see that spanish are similar to gauls in their army because they both have the barbarian-line of HI and a quite-strong cavalry: "medium cavalry" ( cavalleria media ), stronger than the light cavlry of romans and others. In classical age they have both barbarians and legions because of the roman domination, while in Gaul romans arrived later, so gauls have legions only in dark age ( and not "barbarian inveders", that are slighty stronger than legions in dark age ) but not in classical.

Anyone wants to suggest improvements or tell me about bugs is welcome. I will use suggestions for next versions and bug-fixing.

edilberto Hi write me to the edilpag@libero.it … I have to ask you a thing for one mod of mine… however, I believed that you wanted to also use tribes of the medieval excuse.
