A coup has just erupted in Chile; a rogue General has overthrown the elected government. He has complete control of the capital city and has severed all diplomatic ties. During the coup he also jailed 5 Americans and is presumably holding them hostage. The Joint Chiefs of Staff have assigned to your command the very best troops and equipment to get the job done. General,..Go to Work.
Commandancia HQ "Architecture" inspired by Meatpuppet Black Hawk Down
Humvee-mooro12
If you want the scenario more challenging-enable the "Senate" |

I looked at your script and see how you did the pop cap in the scenario. I change it in the rules file for in-game play.
The streets are definitely "tight".
I'm assuming you mean destroy when you say "capture". The only way to "capture" anything is by taking the capital and defeating them, but that ends the scenario. I've found 3 airbases?
Uhhh...a Division is about 10,000 troops. I get:
1. The General and 8 Special forces.
2. A Navy.
3. A bunch of troops.
4. An Aircraft Carrier.
5. A bunch of troops.
6. A small group of troops.
7. A bunch of troops.
That's what I remember. I could be off a little. So that's more like a Battalion, (3 Companies plus a Recon Platoon) plus the ships.
Has anyone else out there played this scenario? |

Clearing files, I found my first S, had two S for Freedoggy's Negro Revolution, somehow, when I uploaded the zip, I managed to exclude one, go figure. Tried to play today on my machine, and it's screwed up, pretty much solidifies, I have to wait for new CD, thanks, for encouragment, playing CTW.
Getting to the point, my NYC map at the time I thought was tight. With that and looking back, (Your being kind), Cuzcon is too tight, spent too much emphasis on Embassy row, really clogged the area. I need to get Metro areas where you can "drive" tanks down the "avenues". However, I remembered on the huge map, I was crashing--"Data Exception", and every now and then "Virtual Memory too Low", also at the time.
No, I was joking, I know the troop sizes very well, was assigned to some of these unit while in the Army. The "sore/sour" thing for me, w/General is he's the only one who has the craft to "ambush" that's the only real reason, I ever assign a general to an S. In the sequels I used the humvee as a "Commander" for a "appearance" only. Could never get the patrol jeep to show, comes out as a armored scout car, some how the tree is a little screwed up.(research alot when my general wouldn't upgrade properly).[Edited on 03/21/06 @ 02:12 AM]

Well...I tried the other 2 scenarios. Same deal, they lock up my PC unless I open them in the editor and save them. But that still doesn't let them play out the way you intended. |

Yeah, when I tried to play them, they acted all goofy, even the diplomacy setting were wrong. In my version the allies were at War, I did not no too much then, but I'm sure I knew better that THAT!
At my wits end, thinking the RAM memory upgrade will be a big help, but, got this feeling about the drivers, it would have been nice if I was able to download the driver MS recommended, to test w/this CD. Waiting on an answer to my email w/them. That site isn't too user friendly or their's a pay/buy area???
Anyway, I think I'm stuck, hopefully will get an answer soon from Forum section, did you notice, there's a player w/the opposite problem...his building don't upgrade correctly, he has a new PC also..the saga continues. |

probed1969- Problem solved, I'm up and running again, thanks for help, got two of the three sequels retooled. Should be done by the weekend. Thinking about re-tooling Switchblade, still can't get goat241 in S at all. Using lower bit size, standard map, limited terrain changes, and staying away from the edge of the map for objectives("Tower" disappearing). I noticed also that you really got to re-check the scenario victory conditions, I almost made the "Sudden Death" mistake again today...thanks again |

Glad to hear it marce. Interested to try out Switchblade as it's meant to be.
I'm not sure if the editor goes to it's defaults when you load a saved scenario, Ill have to check. I know the map section goes to default. They obviously didn't spend a lot of money on the editor. The interface reminds me of some old DOS games.
Have fun! |
