Hi, everyone! I've just registered in hope of finding a good guide to this game, because I am not playing well at all, and I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
Thing is I don't like the AI difficulties at all. And that is because the "Easiest" and "Easy" difficulties are doing literally nothing. I can crush 6 of them without a difficulty. But I can not take on a single "Moderate" enemy. It's always ahead of me in age, in resources, and in millitary. Usually it doesn't defeat me but I can not defeat it. That 250 pop is not enough, if he gets to build a Colossus faster, it's game over. Further difficulties are crushing me easily(even with an ally... The toughest Chinese enemy took on me, and my (also toughest) Bantu ally simultaneously...)
I have searched around and found some "beginner's guides" but those are only descriptions of resources and buildings which I am already well aware of. What I'm looking for is more like a strategy guide. How to start a good economy, and also not fall behind in the millitary aspects? What are good attack strategies? How to advance faster than the computer? These are pretty much the questions to which I'm searching for an answer.
If anyone could help I'd greately appreciate it, since I find this game very good(apart from the difficulty settings) but I'm quite bored with setting 20 rally points to the capital and hoping to get it conquered...
