Dude,
You've got a serious typo in yur ctw_lib.bhs script. Fortunately the error is easy enough to fix, even for my meager understanding of it:
In that script(ctw_lib.bhs) change:
include "scenario\scripts\Civname\Civ_Name.bhs"
include "scenario\scripts\House\House.bhs"
Into:
include "D:\Rise of Nations\Thrones and Patriots\scenario\Scripts\Civ_Name\Civ_Name.bhs"
include "D:\Rise of Nations\Thrones and Patriots\scenario\Scripts\House\House.bhs"
Yes, I'm sure I maybe didn't need to inclue the _entire_ path, but it seems to work now.
Onwards to the next bug! ;-)
best,

Arggh you are right, despite my best efforts to keep this bug-free a major one still managed to slip through :p. Anyway thanks for reporting it, I just uploaded the fixed version. |

When I start CTW, the colored shading, showing occupied territory, is not in line with the image of the countries. What's up with that?
BTW, I can't wait to play this mod, it looks/sounds great. |

Kuroda, your problem is being caused because the game is giving precedence to the cached (old) data over the new data from the zip. I probably should have given instructions on how to fix this in the readme, but anyway this is what you need to do:
1) Go to your C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft Games\Rise of Nations\conquest folder
2) delete the folder "temp"
Now it should work the next time you run the game. |

Hmm then I'm stumped, the only other thing I can suggest is to make sure you copied the files from the zip correctly. Has anyone else tried out the New World campaign yet? |

I had the same problem with the New world map, but deleting the cached info fixed it, like you said. Maybe he didn't find the right directory, though. Mine was at:
C:\Documents and Settings\rkrempel\Application Data\Microsoft Games\Rise of Nations\conquest\temp
Bear in mind that part of that directory path is hidden. Use tools=>folder_options=>view to create settings that will make hidden files and directories show up.

Sorry for the late reply...regarding the Russia problem, make sure that you copied the files in the conquest folder correctly, and make sure you copy them to the conquest folder of the Thrones and Patriots directory, not the base RON directory (i.e. copy them to Rise of Nations\Thrones and Patriots\conquest).
As for the question about the Extinction script, are you asking how to get it to work or are you asking how to play it? You need to set up an 8 team game that begins in the Ancient Age (and ends in the Information Age ideally). Also remember to select "Extinction" in the scripts dropdown box. The game is played by eliminating at least one team in each age, which then unlocks the ability to advance to the next one. |
